Eight
glasses per day x 8 ounces or cups, is a challenging goal.
Your
body needs roughly 1/2 cup or 4 oz. of water per
hour. So..... if
you've missed two hours, drink a cup. If
you've missed four hours, drink 2 cups or 16 oz.
Waterfor Thought:
You
continuously lose water as you breathe, sweat and visit the restroom. You
simply must replenish throughout the day.
Have you ever
noticed when you are dehydrated, you can not think straight?
It makes sense
staying well-hydrated keeps you in balance and empowers your
decision-making processes.
Have you noticed when you have a headache, you are also usually dehydrated?
Water is
classified as a nutrient. It is an essential medium for metabolic
reactions.
Therefore, staying hydrated will assist your body's metabolic processes in becoming
more efficient.
As your body
burns fatty acids, toxic by-products of fat oxidation are transported in the
bloodstream and then flushed out.
Your body needs plenty of water to flush out those toxins.
Over time, as
you drink more water you will notice your body becomes leaner with less
visible cellulite.
Water helps flush toxins out, preventing them from getting trapped in fatty
tissue.
Dehydration
is the most common trigger for food cravings. Most folks walk around all day
long, completely dehydrated!
They are craving something, but can't seem to put their finger on
it... so they reach for "something" to satisfy this yen.
Your body is
roughly 75% water. If staying hydrated is the only habit you focus on, you
will notice a great surge in energy!
You may even stop overdosing on
refined carbohydrates, which zapped your energy.
If you are an
athlete or exercise intensely, drink before, during and after
workouts.
Athletes can weigh themselves before the physical activity, and replenish
with water until they weigh the same weight after the workout.
