Slow Down & Savor The Flavor

  • Do you bring a shovel to the dinner table with you?
  • Do you inhale your food?
  • Slow down, chew thoroughly ...and slim down.
Stay completely conscious while you eat.
When stressed, your mind wanders...
...and you forget to chew ...and taste your food ...enjoy your beverage.
Or you may be so out of touch with your body you eat when you are NOT truly hungry.

Leave your worries behind.
When it is time for nourishment, get in touch with what you need. Be present with your meal.

Slow down by breathing deeply.
Take three deep breathes when feeling anxious.
Get out of your head. Step into the moment
.
Stay conscious as much as possible, you will become full with less food.
By SLOWING DOWN THE PACE... staying conscious as you eat, you will stop eating mindlessly. You will remain calm ...and in the moment.

You will feel your belly becoming full. You will know, intuitively,
when it is time to stop putting food in your mouth. But, it all starts
with breathing and centering your Self to become connected with your body,
and conscious with your foods and beverages.

REMEMBER: it takes 20 minutes for your brain to "get" there is food in the stomach... so you need to stretch the time out.... breathing makes it easier to slow the pace of eating, so you get more enjoyment and fewer calories, per minute!!!

To cut your appetite, stay hydrated: Remember to re-hydrate every few hours
(try to average 1/2 cup per hour throughout the morning and afternoon ...but not just before bed! :>o)

When you are dehydrated, you will notice the feeling of "needing something"
and mistaking that feeling for hunger...when the true hunger is for water.

Take a break from your crazy life to nourish your Mind, Body and Soul.
It is crucially important you begin this habit... of being fully present with your foods and beverages.
Begin to taste what is in your mouth :>O
Feel its texture. Reserve this sacred time for your Self to enjoy each sip and every bite. :>D

So, slow down, relax and enjoy your food. It is so very, very important to do that!
