Here is what a few
Clevelanders have to say:
"I am really going to miss Helene's high energy, enthusiasm
and eagerness to help out wherever she is needed. For the past three
years, Helene has worked with Wild Oats Natural Marketplace offering therapeutic grocery
tours and seminars. Being that she is a registered dietitian, her knowledge and
background with vitamins, supplements and natural foods has helped the
Natural Living Department become more profitable and successful. She has
established her own clientele of customers because of her background in
nutrition and the exceptional customer service she provides to all our guests."
- Peter Kostas,
Wild Oats Natural Marketplace, Cleveland, Ohio
Natural Living Manager
"You put such great energy out there".
- Heather Cornell,
Wild Oats Natural Marketplace,
Cleveland, Ohio
Marketing Manager
"Helene is an extremely patient, knowledgeable, and kind person".
She has a
great sense of humor and is a diligent teacher."

"You were great! They loved you! I appreciate the
energy and enthusiasm you brought to your presentation yesterday.
I am only
sorry we didn't have more time.
- Nan Zalenic, Associated Estates Realty, Cleveland, Ohio
"I am a regular listener to your show and love the variety of
topics you share with people. You have, probably, the best show on
Cleveland's air waves. There is so much more to our food choices other than
what has been taught to us by advertising. The emotional and spiritual
aspects are hardly ever considered. Keep up the great work and I'll be seeing you on the
radio!"
- Harold Brown,
HealthyPeople Radio, listener
Hey Web Surfers! Thanks for staying in touch with your thoughts.
I decided
to start posting your feedback on my site because your comments
*
touch my heart.
I will include only your first name, unless you request I use
your last name.
I came across your website page about
shrinking your stomach while doing a Google search on tummy pain while your
tummy is shrinking. I did exactly what you advocate on your site about five
years ago and lost 70#. During the past stressful year, 30# have crept back
on, and for some bizarre reason I started trying various diets...don't
really know why, since dieting has NEVER worked for me! LOL Anyway, I
finally got a clue and went back to what worked before and I can already
feel a difference. I *know* I am on my way back to fitness...I can feel
it!
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for
what you are doing.
This free check list sounds very professional and I think I will give it a
try. People like you make the world a better place.

Everything you have on your site
is GREAT!!!
Excellent common sense stuff but not always common.
Keep up the good work - you have
motivated me - found your website doing a Google search on shrink stomach - I
need to loose about 20 lbs - I know I can do it!!!
Really enjoyed it!!!
Mary
I was very impressed by your website!
-And inspired. I got right up an drank a glass of water. Seriously, it's a
great site and I plan to visit regularly. - Charles
Hey Helene:
Love your site. I
am feeling so frump like and just need to focus on my diet and health. This
site gave me a nice boost…
- Pat/Med-Seek
I am amazed at your generosity, availability and creativity. This won't be
the last time I take advantage of your expertise. Thank you.
Your philosophies and approach to healthy living is entirely compatible
with the psychological methods of J.L. Moreno, who developed psychometry and
sociometry theory. Since one good turn deserves another, do a Google for the
American Society of Psychodrama and see if the Web site piques your interest.
There are a great many practitioners of this discipline in the northern part
of the nation, but I am a client of the only psychodrama therapist in the
South.
Thank you again.
Margaret
For the last two years, I have self-medicated my post-traumatic arthritis
pain and depression with carbohydrates and sugar-dense food.
I am trying to devise a long-term conversion of my eating habits by
eliminating the following from my diet, in this order:
1- Caffeine, artificial sweeteners
2- Salt
3- Refined sugars, honey, etc.
4- Refined wheat flour
I am also trying to increase my daily water intake.
I have done short-term experiments with the Atkins and South Beach diets
and – as your Web site confirms – I am very soon a nervous, depressed wreck
without carbohydrates. So I am trying to build a metabolic makeover plan of my
own.

You said you felt better now than you did in
your teens, 20s, and early 30s and I was wondering if you would give some
stats out as to your previous weight and present weight. I can lose about 10
lb. before I get frustrated and quit, a lot of times using my monthly cycles
as an excuse to quit because it's so easy during the craving stage. I need
to lose 30, but I would really like to lose 40 but at this point in my life
I would be happy with just losing 20! Thanks in advance for your reply.
My [abbreviated] Reply:
My driver's license says I am 5'5" and I weigh 135. That's
my story and I am
sticking to it! [Actually, I never weigh my Self, because I simply do not
care. I know that I am healthy. When my clothes get tight, I buy less bread
and oil.]
I appreciate
you taking the time
to share your thoughts and feelings.
